Here is a potential counter and appliance layout for the kitchen. The plumber has advised us against putting the washer/dryer in the kitchen, but there just isn’t room for it elsewhere… that we like. He is worried about two things: the underside of the kitchen is not very accessible and drainage from the washer might suck our traps dry. I’m sure he’s probably right, but I think we can live with that. We haven’t told him yet. Plumbers can be a little pushy. I am not a Google Sketchup master as you can probably tell. The bathroom door is right of the fridge. We wanted to move this too, but have been talked out of it. Just too much work and money involved for a crappy little bathroom. The door to the left of the fridge enters the mudroom and leads outside. It’s more or less to scale.
