There have been few good hay making days this season. Much too wet. But that all changed this past weekend.

hay rolls

This field isn’t seeded with anything special, and we do not have any immediate plans for it. The neighboring farmer is happy to cut it for us and take the hay off our hands. Or, we hope he’s happy anyway. Five rounds hardly seems worth the effort, but he has a lot of cows and as we’ve learned already, cows need to eat. We like having it cut as the contour of the land is always so attractive after living with the tall grasses for a time.
